Our regular pub quizzes are about to get a whole lot more interesting.

Our current quizzers across the pubs are already quizzing us on how the Quiz League will work, so here’s the vital information.

HOW IT WORKS

Five participating pubs.

Two competitions running at the same time:

  • Team League – teams compete based on their finishing position in each quiz.

  • Pub League – the five pubs compete against each other based on their teams’ quiz scores.

Same questions.
Same Sunday.
Same time.

Then, after five qualifying rounds, the top teams head into the Grand Final to battle it out for the title of Inn The Sticks Quiz League Champion.

THE DATES

Round 1: Sunday 25 October
Round 2: Sunday 29 November
Round 3: Sunday 31 January
Round 4: Sunday 28 February
Round 5: Sunday 21 March (week earlier due to Easter)
Grand Final: Sunday 25 April

REGISTRATION

Register your:

  • Team name

  • Home pub

  • Captain name

  • Email

  • Phone number

with your pub’s General Manager.

Your registration will then be added to both the Team League and the Pub League.

New teams must be registered before their scores can be submitted.

SCORE SUBMISSION

After each quiz, your pub’s General Manager will submit:

Pub • Round • Team Name • Quiz Score • Finishing Position

We will update both league tables.

TEAM LEAGUE

Teams compete within their own pub.

Your finishing position earns league points:

1st = 20
2nd = 18
3rd = 16
4th = 14
5th = 12
6th = 10
7th = 8
8th = 6
9th = 4
10th = 2

Points are accumulated across the five qualifying rounds.

PUB LEAGUE

This is where the five pubs go head-to-head.

Each pub’s highest-scoring teams contribute to its overall score for that round.

For example:

The Bull: 94 + 89 + 85 + 81 + 76 = 425
The King’s Arms: 92 + 90 + 88 + 82 + 80 = 432
The Welly: 97 + 87 + 84 + 80 + 74 = 422

That gives the weekly Pub League ranking:

1st The King’s Arms = 25 points
2nd The Bull = 20 points
3rd The Welly = 15 points

The pub points then accumulate across the five rounds to determine the overall Pub League champion.

GRAND FINAL

Rounds 1–5 are the qualifiers.

Teams must compete in at least four of the first five rounds to be eligible for the Grand Final.

The top three eligible teams from each pub qualify.

15 teams.
5 pubs.
1 champion.
